Players' Ring Theatre's ANTIGONE Begins 2/12
During the month of February, the Players' Ring Theatre invites you to a night of classic theater and the opportunity to support a worthy cause. On February 12th, Sophocles' classic tragedy "Antigone" takes the stage. Shows run from February 12th to 28th at the Players' Ring Theater, 105 Marcy Street, Portsmouth, NH with show times at 8pm Fridays and Saturdays and 7pm Sundays, with a 2pm matinee on the 28th. Last December, Texas treasure Holland Vavra made her 54 Below debut in Cuz We're F#cking Talented, a concert where a handful of artists showed off their skills. Last night, she made a special trip from Houston to premiere her tribute to Frank Sinatra, Holland at the Sands: My Blue Eyed Sinatra. With her own brand of lovable, quirky humor and her golden instrument, Vavra made her solo cabaret debut a delightful spectacle.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present a tribute to Oscar®-winning songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman on Friday, May 29, at 8 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Hosted by music producer and composer Quincy Jones, the evening will celebrate the prolific lyricists through film clips, personal remembrances from their colleagues and friends, and live performances of several Oscar-nominated songs.
