Marilyn Campbell Lowe is a published, internationally produced, translated, award winning playwright whose plays have been performed across the United States, incl. Berkeley Rep, Actors Theater of Louisville and Cleveland Playhouse, and around the world, including London, Oxford UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Greece and Hungry, as well as New York City, 59W59th Street and Off-Broadway, Provincetown Playhouse. She is the recipient of a Chicago Joseph Jefferson Award, an LA Backstage Garland Award, and a nomination from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award, among many others. Her works have been the subject of Panel Discussions, Workshops and College Theater projects. She is a co-founder of Writers Theatre, Glencoe, Illinois, and a core member and co-founder of New Classics Collective, Paul Oakley Stovall, Artistic Director, Chicago, Il. New commissions include: “Written By Phillis” and FIRE! w/ Paul Oakley Stovall (NCC and Quintessence Theatre); Jungle Jim and Jungle Jim Kidz (Wagner Projections LLC); Sentinels (CPA Theatricals).
