The Royal Opera House and Britten Pears Arts Announces Full Cast for THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA
The Royal Opera House and Britten Pears Arts has announced full casting details for The Rape of Lucretia. This new staging of Benjamin Britten's unsparing chamber opera opens at Snape Maltings, Suffolk as part of its Britten Weekend on 29 and 30 October, before this new production is on stage at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House from 13-22 November.
AVA Welcomes Six New Resident Artists For The 2019-2020 Opera Season
AVA is pleased to welcome six new Resident Artists to the opera academy. The incoming class of Resident Artists includes Emily Margevich (soprano), Cody Muller (bass), Zachary Rioux (tenor), Sahel Salam (tenor), Anne Marie Stanley (mezzo-soprano) and Griffen Hogan Tracy (bass). These singers come from across the country, from Philadelphia and Colorado, to Chicago and Princeton, as well as New Brunswick, Canada.

Palm Springs Opera Guild, one of the longest-standing cultural institutions in the Coachella Valley, has selected eight emerging opera stars to compete at the upcoming 34th Annual Dorothy Nocita Memorial Palm Springs Vocal Competition on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 3 5:30 PM. This annual free event provides an opportunity for eight emerging young opera singers to compete for nearly $40,000 in prizes, earn community recognition for their achievements, and advance their careers. The event will take place at the Helene Galen Performing Arts Center, located at 31001 Rattler Road in Rancho Mirage.
Princeton Symphony Orchestra Opens Season with Beethoven's 9th
On Saturday, September 16 at 8 pm and Sunday, September 17 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) opens its six-concert Classical Series with two iconic works in the orchestral repertoire - Beethoven'sSymphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125 "Choral" and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. The Beethoven's 9th concert marks the first collaboration with the highly regarded Westminster Symphonic Choir since Rossen Milanov became PSO music director in 2009. Both performances will be held at historic Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall on the campus of Princeton University and include a free Pre-Concert Talk for ticket holders featuring Mr. Milanov and choir director Joe Miller.
