DIVAS IN DANGER Comes to The DownStage Cabaret
Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center's DownStage Cabaret provides the perfect setting for our first foray into a Storytelling evening. Playing for one performance only on Sunday, September 9th at 7:30 pm, DIVAS IN DANGER features three true tales of unstoppable courage, a bit of live music, drama and some laughs along the way. Award-winning master storytellers Brenda Adelman, Debra Ebrhardt, and Mariana Williams bring true tales of escape, betrayal, and a nightmarish surgery to the DownStage Cabaret.

The ASCAP Foundation just honored Tony Award-winning lyricist and director of Annie Martin Charnin with the first-ever ASCAP Foundation George M. Cohan Award at their 18th annual Awards Ceremony last night, December 11th. The invitation-only event, hosted by ASCAP Foundation President Paul Williams, was held at the Allen Room, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.
'Long Beach Searches for The Greatest Storyteller' Returns for a Third Season
Long Beach Playhouse has announced Season Three of 'Long Beach Searches for The Greatest Storyteller' which will kickoff on Sunday, April 28th at 7pm. The spring show is shaping up with several locals who care to share a true, five-minute story that happened to them. The top two storytellers move on to the finals that are held in December. A $100 prize is awarded to the overall winner of the evening. Winners are determined by audience vote and a panel of guest judges.

Season Two of, 'Long Beach Searches for Greatest Storyteller' ends Sunday, Dec. 30th, at the Long Beach Playhouse, when the winner is determined by the audience and judges. The spring, summer, and fall shows each produced two finalists who had the winning true, five-minute story of the night. The Winter Final Show, will pit, Ben Peters, Robbin Fortier, Kori Denis, Justin Ezzi, Catherine Close and Jason Bowes, on the main stage to determine, 'The Greatest Storyteller.'
