Amy Hall Garner and Omar Román De Jesús were selected by Artistic Director Michael Novak to choreograph through the Taylor Company Commissions program, to be premiered during fall 2022.

The American Dance Guild Festival 2019, Shaping the Now: Dance in Uncertain Times, will honor dance educator and advocate Jody Gottfried Arnhold and choreographic luminaries Gus Solomons jr and Abdel R. Salaam, co-founder and director of Forces of Nature Dance Theater. There will be four days of performances by thirty-three contemporary choreographers from across the United States. The Festival will take place October 3 through October 6 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street, in New York City. The 2019 American Dance Guild Festival is dedicated to past ADG President Muriel Manings.

10 Hairy Legs Presents 7th New York Season Celebrating WorldPride 2019
10 Hairy Legs, the male repertory dance company, holds its 7th consecutive New York Season with a return to New York Live Arts June 27-29. Presented are World Premieres by Larry Keigwin entitled Cruise Control and Adam Barruch. Barruch's work, entitled Heist will have a newly composed score by Roarke Menzies.
Creative Team For Kansas City Ballet's THE WIZARD OF OZ Nominated For Major Award
Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced that the creative team for The Wizard of Oz including Septime Webre (choreography), Matthew Pierce (composer), Michael Raiford (set design) and Liz Vandal (costume design) have been nominated for the Prix Benois de la danse, considered to be the most prestigious ballet award in the world. Awards will be given in Moscow, Russia on May 21st during which Kansas City Ballet Company dancers Lilliana Hagerman (Dorothy), Lamin Pereira dos Santos (Tin Man), and Jeremy Hanson (Toto puppeteer) will perform a short excerpt from the production at the historic Bolshoi Theatre.
Orchestra Of St. Luke's Bach Festival Launches In June
The inaugural season of OSL Bach Festival will feature three weeks of orchestral, chamber, and dance performances in multiple venues. The Festival's programmatic centerpieces, representing the theme of "Transformation," include performances by Paul Taylor Dance Company and twin interpretations of the Goldberg Variations, including the U.S. premiere of Bernard Labadie's arrangement of the keyboard work for Baroque ensemble.

The Hubbell Difference Foundation will present An Evening to Promote the Science of Reading, at the Warner's Studio Theatre on Friday, May 10, 2019. The evening includes a film screening of Dislecksia:The Movie followed by an expert panel discussion comprised of reading and learning experts, headlined by Dr. Margie Gillis, President and CEO of Literacy How and moderated by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Harvey Hubbell V (Dislecksia:The Movie). Doors will open at 6 pm, followed by a poem reading by Jake Sussman at 6:30 pm, the film screening at 6:35 pm and the panel beginning at 8 pm.

10 Hairy Legs, the male repertory dance company, holds its 7th consecutive New York Season with a return to New York Live Arts June 27-29. Presented are World Premieres by Larry Keigwin and Adam Barruch. Barruch's work will have a newly composed score by Roarke Menzies. Larry Keigwin is a native New Yorker and choreographer who has danced his way from the Metropolitan Opera to Broadway and back. He founded KEIGWIN + COMPANY in 2003 and as artistic director, he has led the company as it has performed at The Kennedy Center, The Joyce Theater, The Guggenheim, and New York City Center, among many other venues. Adam Barruch currently creates and performs work under the epithet of his own company, Anatomiae Occultii. In addition, he has also created works for companies such as The Limón Company, Ailey II, Keigwin + Company, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, River North Dance Chicago, BalletX, Whim W'Him Seattle Contemporary Dance, Graham II, GroundWorks Dance Theater, Gina Gibney Dance Company and Minnesota Dance Theatre, as well as for dance icons Margie Gillis and Miki Orihara.

Paul Taylor Dance Foundation (PTDF) announces the launch of "Paul Taylor: Celebrate the Dancemaker," a multi-year worldwide celebration of Paul Taylor's astonishing legacy as well as his vision of a future for modern dance. Led by Mr. Taylor's chosen successor, Artistic Director Michael Novak, this celebration will focus on three components - domestic and international touring of the Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) and Taylor 2 entitled "The Celebration Tour"; worldwide licensing of Mr. Taylor's dances; and the Paul Taylor American Modern Dance (PTAMD) 2019 New York Season at Lincoln Center.
Paul Taylor Dancer Michael Trusnovec Announces Retirement
Michael Trusnovec, 20-year veteran with the Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) will retire from dancing with the Company in June 2019. His final performances will be during Orchestra of St. Luke's Bach Festival. Mr. Trusnovec will continue to serve as Associate Rehearsal Director through June.
Margie Gillis Is Choreographing New Work To Music Of Bach
Margie Gillis has begun to choreograph a dance on the Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach as a Guest Resident Choreographer of Paul Taylor American Modern Dance (PTAMD). Ms. Gillis was selected by Paul Taylor prior to his death in August. Her new work will premiere as part of Orchestra of St. Luke's Bach Festival next June, and will then be part of PTAMD's Fall Lincoln Center Season.
