BWW Review: Who You Gonna Call? THE HOUSEKEEPER

Fresh Ink Theatre Company presents the inaugural production of Ginger Lazarus' THE HOUSEKEEPER at Boston Playwrights' Theatre. The four-character drama includes a ghost, but she's less scary than the teenage girl struggling with her grief and growing pains. BWW REVIEW: Dames Add Heat to Lyric's CITY OF ANGELS

CITY OF ANGELS, Larry Gelbart, Cy Coleman, and David Zippel's musical romp through the seedy underworld of Hollywood via film noir, would be nothing without its dazzling dames. The same holds true for the production soon ending its run at Boston's Lyric Stage. Without the humor and heat brought by the wonderful Leigh Barrett and Jennifer Ellis, director Spiro Veloudos' CITY OF ANGELS would be all steak and no sizzle.
BWW Reviews: Inventive Space and Witty Language in Brown Box Theatre Project's BLUE WINDOW

Craig Lucas's Blue Window, directed by emerging talent Anna Trachtman. The show, a speedy 75-minute whirlwind, concerns a group of young professionals before, during, and after a dinner party in the 80s.
BWW Review: Lyric Stage's SALESMAN Merits Attention

Arthur Miller's DEATH OF A SALESMAN is sixty-five years old, but unlikely to face the same fate as its tragic protagonist Willy Loman. With Janie E. Howland's marvelously evocative set, Gail Astrid Buckley's period-appropriate costumes, Karen Perlow's lighting effects, and Dewey Dellay's brilliant original compositions, Artistic Director Spiro Veloudos guides us across the bridge to the era of the play. Strong performances abound, but Paula Plum and Kelby T. Akin excel as Loman's wife and prodigal son.

Dinner theater takes on a new dimension with Zeitgeist Stage production of Sir Alan Ayckbourn's 'Time of My Life.' A family birthday celebration kicks off a series of life-changing events that play out simultaneously in the past, present, and future.
