Friday night, April 11th, Kevin James Doyle surprised his co-star Margaret Copeland by announced her impending engagement before the sold-out audience at Off-Broadway's comedy smash, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER. During the curtain call, Kevin hushed the crowd (which included former New York Governor George Pataki!) and revealed Margaret's recent engagement to Colin Hunter, CEO of Alton Lane Custom Clothing. Although Margaret had only shared the big news with her immediate family at this point, she rolled with the punches like a true New Yorker and brought Colin on stage to ecstatic cheers from the audience and a standing ovation.
Onstage Proposal Wows Crowd at HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER

Last week, the audience received a special surprise at Off-Broadway's comedy smash, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER. At the point in the show where an unsuspecting audience member is brought up on stage for a brief tutorial on how to be a true New Yorker, the show's stars snared Tabitha Hernandez from the Bronx who was sitting in the front row. Before long, Tabitha's boyfriend Ruben Pacheco also jumped up to the stage, dropped to one knee and popped the question.
