BWW Review: INTIMATE APPAREL is Delightfully Shocking at Actor's Express
Dark black curtains close in around a tight stage – the audience sits together in one section facing three separate beds neatly spaced out and decorated thoughtfully to indicate three separate playing spaces. The lighting is low and hugs you and your fellow audience members even closer to the playing space. The ambiance is delightfully intimate.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre is a breathtaking musical with originality and depth, theatricality and spectacle. It is without a doubt worth continued development, and it is already very close to ready for a Broadway bow, cast album, and eventual licensing. The world deserves to see and hear the gift that the creative team and Tuacahn have already given to Utah audiences.

BWW Review: TARZAN: THE STAGE MUSICAL at Atlanta Lyric Theatre
When Tarzan swung into Atlanta Lyric Theatre on Friday evening, it carried a lot of heavy baggage with it. At its opening on Broadway in 2006, the seldom-produced tuner, with songs by Phil Collins and a book by David Henry Hwang, was decidedly unpopular with the critics. The New York Times called it "restless," "fidgety," and "a giant green blob with music." New York Magazine said, "You are going to be bored." I could go on, but why bother? You get the picture. Neither the musical nor the production was favored, and, unsurprisingly, the musical lasted only 486 performances on Broadway, which, in the world of the Disney musical, is like dying while you're still a tadpole. But Robert Adams' production of Tarzan, owing much debt to the extraordinary lighting design by Mary Parker, the efficient scenic design by Daniel Pattillo, and the vigor of the acrobatic cast, sheds all of that baggage and finds a way to soar.

BWW Review: FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2, AND 3) at Actor's Express
When Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks's Father Comes Home from the Wars (Parts 1, 2, & 3) premiered at The Public Theater in New York in 2014, The New York Times called it 'extraordinary' and Huffington Post declared it to be a 'triumphant' work with 'soaring language and provocative debate.' Now Actor's Express is bringing Parks's story to Atlanta audiences under the direction of Martin Damien Wilkins, and this new production, in addition to garnering the 'extraordinary' and 'triumphant' superlatives of its New York predecessor, is both simply rendered and breathtakingly powerful.
