BIO

Marcus Harmon is a playwright, actor, and singer from Columbus, Ohio, now based in Brooklyn, New York. He has staged three previous award-winning plays for the Chain Theater (20th Anniversary, One-Act), NY Theater Festival (Edin. Full Length), and the Off-Broadway Downtown Urban Arts Festival (20th Anniversary, One-Act). He was selected as a recipient of the Dramatist Guild Foundation award and the 2021 NYFA (New York Foundation for the Arts) grant for playwriting. He has written 4 full-length plays and 3 one-act plays.

Singin' All Night tells the story of an autistic African American teenager who has been accused of a horrific crime. Two young attorneys are broke, desperate and take his impossible case. But everything changes when they realize he can communicate through music. Join us for the WORLD PREMIERE reading/ workshop presentation of Singin' All Night written by Artistic Director Kirk Gostkowski. Chain Theatre will be performing a lightly staged reading of the new play as well as celebrating the 2017 Chain Theatre season. Talkback with creators and performers to follow presentation.
