Ninth Annual Detroit Improv Festival Brings Big Names To Detroit
Top names in sketch and improvisational will converge on Ferndale August 7-10 in the ninth annual Detroit Improv Festival. Headlined by Paul F. Tompkins, The 313, Flying Chuck, and more, this year's festival will take place over four venues in Ferndale and Hamtramck. With more than 60 improv troupes from across the US and Canada performing in more than 20 shows, there will be something for everyone.

Due to Popular Demand TWIST YOUR DICKENS Adds Four Performances
Due to popular demand, The Kennedy Center has announced the addition of four extra performances to the Kennedy Center's debut run of The Second City's irreverent and interactive seasonal satire, Twist Your Dickens. Tickets are now on sale for newly added 3p.m. matinees on December 21, 22, 28, and 29. Twist Your Dickens performances take place in the Theater Lab from December 9-31, 2016.
Detroit Improv Festival Arrives Wednesday
The sixth annual Detroit Improv Festival arrives Wednesday, August 10 with performances and workshops continuing through Sunday, August 14. The festival will take place over five venues in Detroit and Ferndale with more than 50 improv troupes from across the US and Canada performing in nearly 20 shows. The Second City's 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' opens this Thursday, December 12 at the Center Theatre Group/ Kirk Douglas Theatre. Written by Second City alumni Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort and directed by fellow Second City alum Marc Warzecha, 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' continues through December 29, 2013.
