Stages' beloved "Sister" returns to the theatre this summer! Performing in an installment of Late Nite Catechism never before seen by Houston audiences, Denise Fennell reprises her role as Sister in Sister's Summer School Catechism: God Never Takes a Vacation!, this time leading hilarious interactive classroom discussions about whether Jesus had to go to summer school and what are appropriate summer vacations for practicing Catholics. Over the years audiences of all religions and ideologies have enjoyed Fennell's humorous take on the Roman Catholic Church, which is neither mean-spirited nor satire, but developed out of deep affection. It's not rare to see a priest, nun or church official in attendance at a Late Nite Catechism performance.

SISTER'S CHRISTMAS CATECHISM Returns to Long Wharf this December
Long Wharf Theatre announces that Entertainment Events' production of Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold, by Maripat Donovan with Jane Morris and Marc Silvia, will return to Long Wharf Theatre on Stage II from December 5 through December 17, 2017.

Making her WaterTower Theatre debut in Sister's Christmas Catechism will be Nonie Newton Riley. This hilarious holiday special is presented in association with Entertainment Events Inc., New York City, NY, and runsDecember 2- 23, 2016 in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directors Announced for WaterTower Theatre's 2016-17 Main Stage Season
?WaterTower Theatre Managing Director Gregory Patterson and Associate Artistic Director Kelsey Leigh Ervi today announced the directors for the upcoming 2016-2017 WaterTower Theatre Main Stage Season in The Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directing the season opener, Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash (October 7- 30, 2016) is B.J. Cleveland with Musical Direction by Sonny Franks. Next up, the regional premiere of Silent Sky (January 20-February 12, 2017) will be directed by Kelsey Leigh Ervi. The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord (April 14-May 7, 2017) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks. Rene Moreno will return to direct Native Gardens (June 2- 25, 2017). Sunday in the Park With George (July 28-August 20, 2017) will be directed by Terry Martin, with Musical Direction by Jeff Lankov.

?Terry Martin, WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director, today announced details of the Company's 2016-2017 20th Anniversary Main Stage Season. The 5-show subscription season, planned by Martin, includes four Regional Premieres. Highlights of the season include a Stephen Sondheim classic, a musical tribute to American music legend Johnny Cash, two plays by leading female playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Karen Zacarias, plus a holiday extra.
LATE NIGHT CATECHISM Begins Tonight at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts
?Arizona's favorite ruler-wielding nun, Sister, is back in the habit at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts! Starring Patti Hannon, the Late Nite Catechism comedies return by popular demand Jan. 9 through March 28. The original Late Nite Catechism is performed on most Fridays at 8 p.m., and the sequel Late Nite Catechism III: 'Til Death Do Us Part runs on most Saturdays at 8 p.m. A special holiday treat, Sister's Easter Catechism: Will My Bunny Go to Heaven? also returns for a limited engagement March 31 through April 5.

Wareham are delighted to bring back their favorite Sister in a return offering, SISTER'S EASTER CATECHISM: Will My Bunny Go To Heaven?, written and performed by Maripat Donovan (alternating with Nonie Newton-Breen) and directed by Mark Silvia. "Sister is back and as funny as ever. Our audiences are going to be Heaven-sent at this Easter delight," offers Wood. "Our audiences will be resurrected with laughter.
