Jenn Colella Leads KIKI BABY at NYMF
The New York Musical Theatre Festival in association with Jeffery & Elizabeth Passero are pleased to announce the production of Lonny Price and Kitt Lavoie's KIKI BABY, composed by Grant Sturiale, orchestrations by Michael Starobin, choreographed by Josh Rhodes, musical direction by Mark Hartman, directed by Lonny Price and Matt Cowart. KIKI BABY will play six performances at the Theatre at St. Clements (423 West 46th Street, between 9TH & 10TH Avenues). Performances begin tonight and continue through Sunday, October 16th.

Mashing sick beats with lush live orchestrations, this thrilling piece of theater challenges our preconceptions about the relationship between sex and religion, and in doing so imparts to us an essential truth: 'There is no fear in love.' Previews will be held on January 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

On Tuesday, October 2nd, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway marked its 25th Anniversary with a brand-new edition Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, at the 47th Street Theatre. To mark the occasion, Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office of Theatre, Film and Television named October 2, 2007 as 'Forbidden Broadway Day.' Chita Rivera read a proclamation from Mayor Michael Bloomberg and unveiled a street sign renaming West 47th Street 'Forbidden Broadway.'

On Tuesday, October 2nd, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway marks its 25th Anniversary with a brand-new edition Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47 Street). To mark the occasion, Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office of Theatre, Film and Television has named October 2, 2007 as 'Forbidden Broadway Day.' At 6PM, prior to the opening night performance on October 2, two-time Tony Award winner (and beloved subject of Forbidden Broadway parodies) Chita Rivera will be on hand to read a proclamation from Mayor Michael Bloomberg and unveil a street sign renaming West 47th Street 'Forbidden Broadway.'
