This is her fourth major album in five years, with Volume Two to be released in August.
Stanley puts a lot of love into the enterprise; this goes without saying. Especially with ths project which had its beginning on FB with a secret society of members who helped with the promotion. She generated interest by letting FB members join and then make decisions about the choice of songs and the recording and engineering processes. Their d

BWW Reviews: Steadfast Fans of Iconic BARBARA COOK Are 'On Her Side' at Lincoln Center's American Songbook
“Are You Havin' Any Fun?” the formidable Barbara Cook breezily asks in song with the intimacy of an old friend. Having had her first paid (50 cents) singing job at the age of eight, Cook looks back on a lengthy career feeling lucky. It's been weeks since she's sung due to health issues laying her low, but Cook is not, she assures us, by any means down and out. “I like to feel people are on my side and you sure sound like you are.” Throughout her show last night as part of the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center's The Appel Room, the artist performs with honesty, commitment, and the compelling interpretation for which she's well known. She asks that lights be turned up in order to see those with whom she communicates.

BWW Reviews: With 'Unplugged,' Flying V Scores Again With a Touching Homage to the Giants of Rock n' Roll
With 'Unplugged,' the youthful Flying V company helps us to commune with our long-lost idols, and offers us an often-amusing and touching version of their possible afterlives. Jason Schlafstein has assembled yet another multi-talented talented cast, who provide us with the music as well as the dramatic action. Consisting of two one-acts, 'All Apologies' by Hunter Styles, and 'Me and the Devil Blues' by Seamus Sullivan, the production will be a treat for anyone who loves the music-with the bonus that we get to hear selections from some of Rock's most memorable songs. In one amusing case, we get to hear a dead star cook up another tune or two.
