BIO

Dominic is author of two memoirs that describe her Newfoundland childhood and her life in New York, The Queen of Peace Room, and the recently released Street Angel.
She is co-author of H.M. Koutoukas, a collection of memories and extensive documentation of the OOB playwright.
Dominic was an active participant at the Caffé Cino. She is an archivist of the Caffé Cino history and has donated OOB materials to the Fales Library & Special Collections and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Jefferson Market Library to Host WOMEN PLAYWRIGHTS FROM THE CAFFE CINO in March

On March 16 at 6pm, at the Jefferson Market Library, the archivist and Caffe Cino actress Magie Dominic, will share documentation and stories about the landmark space and will present the first program devoted to the woman playwrights who produced their work at the Caffe.  
Plaque Will Be Unveiled This Week Honoring Caffe Cino, The Birthplace of Off-Off-Broadway

A plaque designating the former Caffe Cino, at 31 Cornelia Street, on the National Register of Historic Places as an LGBT site will be unveiled on Wednesday, November 16th, at 2:30pm. The date marks what would have been proprietor Joe Cino's 91st birthday.

IT Awards Announce Host For Monday's Ceremony

On Thursday, August 15, a?oeMagic Time!a?"Art & Ephemera of the Caffé Cinoa?? will open at ClampArt at 247 W. 29th Street. The art exhibit, organized by Ward 5B and Caffé Cino alumnus Magie Dominic, coincides with the Caffe Cino's designation as a historical site by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission in June 2019.
