Little Island Storytelling Festival Begins Tomorrow
Little Island, New York City's new public park in Hudson River Park by W. 13th Street, begins performances for the 2021 Storytelling Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21. The multidisciplinary festival is curated by Little Island Artists-in-Residence PigPen Theatre Co. and will run through Sunday, July 25.
Berkeley Rep Announces Full Cast And Creative For THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX
Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for PigPen Theatre Co's The Tale of Despereaux: A New Musical. Coming off a successful run at The Old Globe in San Diego, where it had its world premiere, The Tale of Despereaux, with book, lyrics, and music by PigPen Theatre Co. and directed by Marc Bruni and PigPen Theatre Co., will begin previews at Berkeley Rep on Thursday, November 21, 2019 and run through Sunday, January 5, 2020. Alan Cumming, Theresa Rebeck & More Set for The Orchard Project 2015
The Exchange today announced the artists and companies who will participate in its 2015 Orchard Project summer residency program. Twenty-two artists and ensembles (listed below) were selected from a competitive field of nearly 500 applicants to develop their big, new ideas at the Orchard Project. This will be the eighth summer - and the first summer in Saratoga Springs, NY - for the Orchard Project, a laboratory program where theatre artists and companies come to innovate, develop, and refine new shows. Past productions developed at the Orchard Project have gone on to be performed around the globe for over 500,000 people and to win awards from TONYs to Obies to Oliviers.

On the heels of winning two Joseph Jefferson "Jeff" Awards (Best Original Music in a Play and Best Sound Design) in Chicago, and a critically acclaimed successful run of The Old Man and The Old Moon at the New Victory Theater in NYC, PigPen Theatre Co. will continue their 2014 season by taking the celebrated signature play to Boston in partnership with ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage at the Emerson College/Paramount Center (November 19-23). The limited tour, which originated at Williamstown Theatre Festival in August, and ran at the New Victory Theater from September 26 - October 13, 2014, will be the last chance to see The Old Man and The Old Moon performed by the original company.
