BIO
LYDIA EKU is a bold, and dynamic actor, vocalist and creator! A true #RenaissanceWoman.
She is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and has been based in Atlanta, GA. Theatre credits: THE COLOR PURPLE (Actor's Express), IN THE RED AND BROWN WATER (Marietta's NEW Theatre in the Square), THE FIRST NOEL (Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre), STINKYKIDS, The Musical (Synchronicity Theatre), AFTER MIDNIGHT (Norwegian Cruise Line). Film Credits: RESPECT, THE ONLY THING CERTAIN.
As a young black artist she strives to make any audience stay captivated within each performance and venture. Looking at gigs more so as "collabs." As collaborations help to build connections between artists.
She is co-host of the podcast Black Table Read, and has her YouTube series #RenaissanceWomanTV. Both programs look to elevate young artists to be the change they want to see and hear.

The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents the reimagined 50th Anniversary tour of Jesus Christ Superstar for four performances on Friday, June 9 at 8pm; Saturday, June 10 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, June 11 at 2pm. This production is a fast paced 90-minutes without intermission. Tickets range from $29-$79.
