National Sawdust Hosts The Future Is… Festival and Creative Forum
Both before and throughout the pandemic, National Sawdust’s mission has been to provide artists with financial and creative opportunities, audiences with access to groundbreaking work presented in remarkably high fidelity, and to support young creators by means of a rigorous mentorship network. These three goals serve as the inspirations for The Future Is… Festival, which takes place June 7 through June 16, features work by 6 composers and choreographers developing new work through residencies co-produced with the Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU, and funded by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.
Harlem School of the Arts to Hold Master Class Featuring T.S. Monk
The Harlem School of the Arts will welcome Grammy Award nominee and composer/pianist, Adegoke Steve Colson, recipient of the South Arts 2021 Jazz Road Creative Residencies Grant, which is funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Through funding made possible by this grant, Mr. Colson will lead Afternoon Jazz @ HSA, a series of master classes that involves students across HSA’s interdisciplinary curriculum, and features some of the most respected and prolific jazz artists.
Paula Vogel To Present PEN TO PAPER As Part Of 'Hermitage @ Booker' Series
Hermitage Fellow, Pulitzer Prize-Winning Playwright, and American Theater Hall of Fame Honoree Paula Vogel will present a free community program: “Pen to Paper with Pulitzer Prize-Winning Playwright Paula Vogel” — on Friday, February 11th at 5pm ET, in the outdoor courtyard at Booker High School.

Times Square Arts Presents Erin Johnson's LAKE For March Midnight Moment
Times Square Arts will present Lake by Erin Johnson for the month of March as part of the organization's signature Midnight Moment series in partnership with Pioneer Works. Midnight Moment is the world's largest, longest-running digital art exhibition, synchronized on electronic billboards throughout Times Square nightly from 11:57pm to midnight.
