Luigi Caiola is a New York-based producer and philanthropist with a passion for theater. He has produced numerous Broadway shows, including the Tony Award-winning productions of "Dear Evan Hansen" and "Once on This Island."
Caiola's love for theater began at a young age. He grew up in a family that was heavily involved in the arts, and he spent much of his childhood attending shows and performances. After graduating from college, Caiola decided to pursue a career in theater production.
Caiola's first Broadway credit came in 2012, when he served as a co-producer for the musical "Leap of Faith." Since then, he has produced a number of successful shows, including "The Color Purple," "Anastasia," and "The Play That Goes Wrong."
Perhaps Caiola's most notable production to date is "Dear Evan Hansen." The show, which tells the story of a high school student struggling with social anxiety, premiered on Broadway in 2016 and quickly became a critical and commercial success. It won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and has since spawned numerous productions around the world.
Caiola has also been involved in several philanthropic ventures throughout his career. He is a founding member of the board of directors for the Tyler Clementi Foundation, which works to end bullying in schools and communities. Additionally, he has served as a board member for the Broadway League and the Broadway Association.
