With the return of live theatrical performances no where in sight, many companies have resorted to Zoom technology to live stream shows while others have found themselves turning their theatres into video production facilities. Napa's Lucky Penny Productions is the latest to invest in a multi-camera system and has announced a new theatre festival to utilize it.
San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Honored At 43rd Annual SFBATCC Awards Gala
The San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle (SFBATCC) held its 43rd Annual Excellence in Theatre Awards Gala on Monday, March 25th at San Francisco's historic Victoria Theatre. Over 300 members of the community gathered as 67 production awards for theatre produced in 2018 and four Special Awards were presented. The evening was hosted by Daniela Innocenti Beem and David Templeton with musical entertainment provided by The Lost Trio.

Theatre Bay Area Announces 2018 TBA Awards Finalists
Theatre Bay Area, the third-largest regional theatre service organization in North America, announced the finalists for the 2018 TBA Awards. The fifth annual TBA Awards Celebration will be held on Monday, Nov. 5 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco). 100 Theaters Join Playwrights in The Nationwide Ticketing Initiative
Playwrights Welcome, the nationwide free ticketing initiative created by Samuel French for Dramatists Guild of America members, is thrilled to announce that over 100 theaters have joined the program. Lucky Penny 10 Minute Play Festival Winners Announced
Lucky Penny Productions is pleased to announce the 'Audience Choice Awards' for its '8 X 10 Kids Rule' short play festival. Lucky Penny judges picked 8 ten-minute plays out of over 150 submitted from around the country and produced them live on stage. Audience members then voted on their favorites at the end of each show. This year's theme was 'Kids' and each script had to have at least one youngster featured in the cast. At the end of each play's eleven performances, the audience votes were counted.
