With more than 500 people present at the gala, the couple shared how important and inspiring Padre Pio is in their lives and how his life has often been an inspiring model for the work of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.

Another important recognition was received this Thursday, October 24, 2013, by the Acclaimed Italian Tenor Luciano Lamonarca (resident of Westchester County). This time it was Hon. Thomas DiNapoli, the New York State Comptroller, who honored him with a Proclamation for artistic merit. It follows a previous one issued on October 7, 2013, by the Westchester County Executive, Hon. Robert Astorino.
