Season two guest stars reprising their roles from the “Monsters, Inc.” franchise include Aubrey Plaza, Nathan Fillion, and Bobby Moynihan, along with Jennifer Coolidge, Rhys Darby, Janelle James, Jenifer Lewis, Ali Wong, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell, Danny Pudi, Cody Rigsby, Jimmy Tatro, Danny Trejo, Joe Lo Truglio and Alan Tudyk.

Building on over 40 years of producing powerful contemporary theatre, Studio Theatre is pleased to announce its largest class ever of commissioned artists to Studio R&D, its incubator to support the creation of new work. Studio will award grants to 10 artists-playwrights, directors, and multidisciplinary creators-investing in its future while supporting theatre-makers and expanding the idea of what it means to be a generative artist. For the first time, Studio R&D commissions are being awarded to support the creation of audio plays, as Studio explores alternate modes of theatrical storytelling in response to the present moment.

The show is executive produced by Jenji Kohan (Orange is the New Black, Weeds, and GLOW) and follows a runaway bride as she joins a Renaissance Fair after her wedding goes awry. In the series, Rory plays the Faire's beloved Shakespeare.

With the dust settled from midterm elections and freshman members of Congress learning to navigate the maze of Capitol Hill 2.5 miles away, Studio Theatre presents Kings, part of its Studio X series, written by Alexandria, VA native Sarah Burgess and directed by Marti Lyons. With a deft hand at the fast talk and power dynamics of lawmaking and fundraising, Burgesss play is a swamp tour of the Beltway power-broking that fuels her hometown. A Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist, Burgess quickly rose to notoriety exploring the cutthroat world of finance in her breakout play, Dry Powder, at the Public Theater in New York, which starred Claire Danes, John Krasinski, and Hank Azaria.

Lucas Neff (Raising Hope, Fear Inc., Downward Dog), Seana Kofoed (Men in Trees, Flaked), Rory O'Malley (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Hamilton) and Mary Hollis Inboden (The Real O'Neals, Here And Now) round out the series cast. Produced by A+E Studios in association with Global Road Entertainment, ten one-hour episodes have been greenlit for production this summer in Los Angeles.
