LOUISE MARIE CORNILLEZ

Louise Marie Cornillez is a Grammy-nominated soprano who has been a featured artist with various symphony orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestre National de Lille in France. She has sung the soprano solos in Handel’s Messiah, Brahms’ A German Requiem, and Vivaldi’s Gloria.

She is known for her powerful, crystal-clear voice, singing opera arias, Broadway showtunes, standards, and much more. She starred in a solo concert – An Evening of Song with Louise Marie Cornillez – at the Barnsdall Gallery Theater in Hollywood, CA, and released a self-titled mini album containing her favorite selections from the concert. She was recently featured at the concert, Serenata Filipina, at the John Anson Ford Theater in Hollywood.

She is a veteran of the stage, performing with the Atlanta Opera, East West Players in Los Angeles, Sacramento Music Circus, and the San Gabriel Valley Music Theater, among others. She shone in roles like Maria in West Side Story, Diana and Connie in A Chorus Line, and Gigi in Miss Saigon. She has been featured in critically-acclaimed productions of Sondheim’s Passion and Sweeney Todd, and proudly originated the role of “Imelda’s Mother” in the world premiere of Imelda: A New Musical at East West Players in Los Angeles. Ms. Cornillez was recently featured in San Francisco Symphony Orchestra’s Grammy-nominated recording of West Side Story in Concert and in Dallas Summer Musical’s production of The King and I.
