Phillip Dunlap Named New Director Of Broward Cultural Division
Broward Cultural Division is pleased to announce Phillip Dunlap as its new Director. Dunlap comes to Broward County from Missouri where he served as Director of Education and Community Engagement for Jazz St. Louis, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the thriving of jazz in America. A champion for arts and cultural diversity in communities, Dunlap served as President of Missouri Citizens for the Arts, organizing local and state-wide arts advocacy initiatives. He also served as Board President of Growing American Youth, a youth-focused LGBT social support organization in St. Louis, and is a member of the Board of Jazz Education Abroad, an international jazz-education and cultural diplomacy organization.
8th St. Louis Teen Talent Competition Announces Call for Entries
Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation (FoxPACF) is pleased to announce the 8th Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition. Registration is FREE and is now open online for all high school students in the St. Louis Metropolitan area at foxpacf.org. This contest follows a competition format with students vying for more than $30,000 in college scholarships, cash awards, and prizes as well as performance opportunities while showcasing talented teens in the bi-state metro area who excel in performing arts. Contestants must be enrolled in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the 2017-2018 school year and must attend a high school/home school within a 50-mile radius from the Arch in all directions.

Webster University Dance Ensemble Performs in Loretto-Hilton Center, 4/12-14
The 2013 Webster University Dance Ensemble, under the artistic direction of Beckah Reed, presents a concert exploring relationships and struggles, musicality and technology. There are seven works in the production, including ballet, aerial, visual art and contemporary dance. All are original works, some with original sound scores.

Webster University¹s Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents ³Uncommon Women and Others² by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein. The production runs Feb. 20-24 and Feb. 27-March 3, in Stage III, Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. only on Sundays. A special post-show conversation will immediately follow the performance on Sunday, Feb. 24. Admission is $12 for the general public and $6 for senior adults and students. BWW Interviews: Stacey Todd Holt, Leo Bloom in THE PRODUCERS at Atlanta's Fox Theatre, January 25 - 31
As an actor, there is nothing like playing a leading role in a hit Broadway musical. Add to that having the chance to perform the role in front of a hometown audience, filled with family and friends, and you have the story of Stacey Todd Holt, who will play Leo Bloom, the budding theatrical producer in Mel Brooks' hit musical, The Producers when it plays the Fabulous Fox Theatre January 25 - 31, produced by Theater of the Stars. I had the chance to talk to Stacey about his Atlanta roots, his long-time professional relationship with Susan Stroman and what exactly made him "Want to be a Producer".
