THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG in Chicago Is Extending By Popular Demand
The producers of the international hit comedy THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG are pleased to announce the Chicago production, featuring a cast of local Chicago actors, will extend its limited engagement by nine weeks through April 3, 2022 at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) to a total run of 16 weeks.

Broadway In Chicago has announced their new social media program, Around Broadway In 80 Days. In the wake of the cancellation of The Jimmy Awards® (the national program) and the Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards (the regional program), the initiative will celebrate and provide a virtual stage for all the participants that were unable to perform in the 2020 IHSMTA event.

Arts Alliance Illinois Executive Director Claire Rice, Broadway In Chicago President Lou Raizin and Vice President Eileen LaCario, and League of Chicago Theatres Executive Director Deb Clapp, are pleased to announce the 2019 Chicago Mayoral Arts Forum on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse, located at 175 East Chestnut Street in Chicago. Open to the general public, the event begins at 6pm and will conclude at approximately 8pm. While admission to the 2019 Chicago Mayoral Arts Forum is free, space is strictly limited and sold out. Yesterday, February 8, Broadway In Chicago's newly named JAMES M. NEDERLANDER THEATRE lit its marquee for the first time. The theatre, located at 24 W. Randolph, honors the late James M. Nederlander, the legendary Broadway theatre owner and producer, founder of Broadway In Chicago and champion of Chicago's Downtown Theatre District. His family lit the marquee in remembrance of him and his work.

Broadway In Chicago announced today that The PrivateBank Theatre at 18 W. Monroe will have a new name and Marquee as the CIBC Theatre. This represents The PrivateBank name change to CIBC under a unified brand globally following their June acquisition.
