The event featured an inspirational conversation between Strahan and the honorees on the collective power of women and the challenges and triumphs of their corporate careers. Sheena Wright, President and CEO of United Way of New York City, Monique Nelson, CEO of UniWorld Group, Tory Burch, fashion designer and CEO of Tory Burch LLC, Lori Silverbush, filmmaker and hunger relief advocate, Kathryn Wylde, President and CEO of the Partnership for New York City, and Marianne Collins, Chief Revenue Officer of SourceMedia, were also in attendance.

Food Bank For New York City - the city's major hunger-relief organization working to end food poverty throughout the five boroughs - raised more than $2 million last night at the organization's annual Can Do Awards Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street. Directors Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush examine this issue through the lens of three people who are struggling with food insecurity: Barbie, a single Philadelphia mother who grew up in poverty and is trying to provide a better life for her two kids; Rosie, a Colorado fifth-grader who often has to depend on friends and neighbors to feed her and has trouble concentrating in school; and Tremonica, a Mississippi second-grader whose asthma and health issues are exacerbated by the largely empty calories her hardworking mother can afford. John Goodman, Stan Lee Among Honorees at 15th Annual Savannah Film Festival
The 2012 Savannah Film Festival added Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor John Goodman ('The Artist'), former president and chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee ('Spider-Man'), Pulitzer Prize winning screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire ('Rabbit Hole') and John Gatins ('Real Steel') to its list of honorees.
