BWW Review: Seattle Rep's WELL Hilariously Deconstructs One-Woman Shows
Author Lisa Kron is known for her one-woman shows. I am known for having issues with one-person shows, as they tend to be someone else's therapy on stage. Luckily Kron also understands that issue as she very self referentially mocks those kinds of shows in her play "Well", currently at the Seattle Rep, as she deconstructs shows like this and really all shows with her hilarious exploration that has "nothing to do with her relationship with her Mother!"

Strand Theater Company to Present WELL, Opening 6/1
Strand Theater Company proudly presents the closing show of its 2011-12 season, a 2006 Tony Nominee for Best Play, Well by Lisa Kron. This production marks directorial debut at the Strand of the new Artistic Director, Rain Pryor.
Column Awards Winners Announced, Include ICT, Uptown Players, Dallas Theater Center
Monday February 27, THE COLUMN AWARDS (TCA) organization honored excellence in theater within the Dallas-Fort Worth Theater community, which held its 13th annual gala this past Monday. TCA is the only awards organization in the United States that donates all money (after expenses) to BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS. A charity they have been associated since its inception. To date, THE COLUMN AWARDS have donated close to $70.000.00 to BC/EFA. See the full list of winners below.
The Strand Theater Seeks Directors for the 2011-2012 Season
The Strand Theater is seeking two dynamic directors for the 2011-2012 season (descriptions of the plays appear below). Directors are responsible for the vision and execution of the production. Directors must be able to work independently (at times) and with designers, playwrights, and Strand staff as needed.
