Chicago Dancemakers Forum Presents Its 2019 Awards Celebration And Benefit
Chicago Dancemakers Forum celebrates the ten 2019 Awardees: Anjal Chande, Keyierra Collins, Reginald Cosper Jr. aka Sirr Tmo, Jane Jerardi, Mitsu Salmon, Vershawn Sanders-Ward, Marceia L. Scruggs, Darling Shear, Connie Shiau, and Nejla Yatkin. The 2019 Awardees will be recognized on Thursday, July 11, 5:30pm at The Arts Club of Chicago during Chicago Dancemakers Forum's 2019 Awards Celebration and Benefit. The evening will include a cocktail reception, an awards presentation featuring videos by Wills Glasspiegel and Brandon "Chief Manny" Calhoun, and live performances by 2015 Lab Artist Benjamin Wardell (The Cambrians), 2010 Lab Artist Meida McNeal (Honey Pot Performance), and Khecari - 2008 Lab Artist Jonathan Meyer and 2009 Lab Artist Julia Antonick.
Winifred Haun & Dancers to Kick Off Fall 2014 Open Rehearsals, 10/5
Winifred Haun & Dancers will present the first of three Fall 2014 Open Rehearsals on Sunday, October 5 at Hubbard St. Dance Center. This Fall Open Rehearsal will present three works-in-progress, one each by choreographers Winifred Haun, Lizzie Leopold of the Leopold Group and Lucy Riner of RE/Dance. This event will also include a discussion about each artist's dance making process and audience members will have a chance to respond, comment and give feedback on the new works.
Vision, Faith & Desire II Set for 2/6-8 at Pritzker Pavilion
Vision, Faith, & Desire II: Dancemakers Inspired by Martha Graham will be co-presented by Winifred Haun & Dancers and the Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events February 6-8 at the Pritzker Pavilion, in doors on the stage. The program will feature works by: Randy Duncan, Winifred Haun, and Lizzie Leopold. Jeff Hancock and former Graham principal dancer Paul Sansardo and his Company, Paul Sansardo & Dancers, will premiere new works.
Vision, Faith, & Desire II Set for Pritzker in February
Vision, Faith, & Desire II: Dancemakers Inspired by Martha Graham will be co-presented by Winifred Haun & Dancers and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE). The program will feature works by: Randy Duncan, Winifred Haun, Lizzie Leopold and former Graham principal dancer, Paul Sansardo. Jeff Hancock will premiere a new work. The program will also include the premiere of a new "Lamentation Variation," choreographed by Winifred Haun, using the creative structure provided by The Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance, as part their Lamentation Project. Full programming details will be released in early January 2014.

Broadway's GLORY DAYS Will Receive An Original Cast Album
Glory Days, the musical by Nick Blaemire and James Gardiner, will receive an original cast album over a year after it closed on Broadway. The album of Glory Days, which closed after its opening night performance, will be distributed by Friends of Ghostlight, an extension of Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records.

A contemporary love story, green eyes tracks the rise and fall of a relationship over time through folk-rock music and modern dance. The new musical utilizes two singers, two dancers, and a five-piece orchestra to fuse both song and dance, shedding new light on the traditional 'boy meets girl' story.
