Experiential Orchestra to Make Premiere Recording of Dame Ethel Smyth's THE PRISON
Experiential Orchestra announces plans to create the world-premiere commercial recording of British composer Dame Ethel Smyth's final composition The Prison. The orchestra hopes that creating a top-quality recording of this recently rediscovered composition dating from the very end of her career will increase Smyth's standing as a composer world-wide.
Hospicare and Kitchen Theatre Collaborate on Special Event
On Sunday, March 11, Hospicare and Kitchen Theatre Company are pleased to offer a special event: a reception and panel discussion on 'Lesbian Love & Loss over the Lifetime.' The reception will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by a 4:00 performance of Bright Half Life by Tanya Barfield. After the performance, panelists Kate Halliday, Mariette Geldenhuys, Sue Robinson, and Carrie Stearns will moderate a discussion in the theatre.
