BIO

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Liz and her family moved to the surrounding countryside when they purchased a boutique apple orchard. Liz grew up there surrounded by rolling hills, woods, and wetlands. She was inspired and captivated by the natural world around her and decided to become an entomologist.

However, around that same time, young Liz saw the movie musical “Annie” and decided that a life on the stage was also her destiny. She quickly discovered that the two careers didn’t mesh well, and turned her focus and passion solely toward the theatre. Liz’s determination and exceptional voice propelled her through Madison area theaters, Interlochen Arts Camp, and the University of Michigan’s Musical Theatre department where she earned her BFA. Since arriving in New York, Liz’s three and a half octave range and soulful acting have helped her to make a name for herself in regional houses across the country and in the New York theatre scene. Many new composers have used her unique versatility and skills to help develop their projects.

Luisa's husband makes movies. That is the simplest way to describe NINE (the musical based on the 1963 film 8 ½ by Federico Fellini) which follows the story of Guido Contini an Italian director who tries desperately to overcome his recent failings as a filmmaker. Overwhelmed by his desire to have it all, Guido finds himself tormented as well as inspired by the women in his life. Raised in the staunch Catholic way, Guido is well acquainted in the concept of morality, but can't seem to keep himself from straying from the women who love him.
