Horton Records will drop TULSA CUSTOM, by guitarist and guitar maker Seth Lee Jones, with the first digital singles from the new disc coming on March 27 (“110”) and April 24 (“Walter”). Horton Records is a volunteer-based, non-profit that develops and supports musicians in the Tulsa area while also fostering the area's rich musical heritage.

The historic Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, Tenn. will induct country legend Bobby Bare. Bare’s star will be revealed on the walkway at Music City Walk of Fame Park located in SoBro amongst fellow inductees Dierks Bentley, Keb’ Mo’ and Connie Smith. The park is located directly across from the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Legendary country music artist, Bobby Bare, has released a brand new song “Snowflake In The Wind.” Keeping with the traditions of the genre, Bare tells the story of heartbreak and trying to find his way after a loss, “drifting like a snowflake in the wind.” Throughout the song, Bare contemplates moving to different places, but continuously mentions that he will always see her face, eventually ending up where he has always been.

The Country Music Hall of Fame said it best when they opened the Outlaws and Armadillos exhibit in May of 2018, Bobby Bare originated “Outlaw Country” when he became the first artist of the era to gain control of his productions, leading to the likes of Willie, Waylon and the boys following suit. In celebration of the Country Music Hall of Famer's 84th birthday on April 7 and over 60 years in the music business, SiriusXM's Outlaw Country will air an all-star tribute concert recorded on the 4th annual Outlaw Country Cruise. After announcing “Friends and Heroes 2019” earlier this week, country music superstar Blake Shelton continues to show old-school country some modern-day love with his cover of “Tequila Sheila” (listen HERE). Originally released in 1980 by Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member Bobby Bare on his album Down and Dirty, the reimagined throwback tune features an introductory vocal by Bare himself. The song was written by songwriting legends Shel Silverstein and Mac Davis. The country legend is celebrating 60 years as a hit-maker this year and has big plans in store for 2019, to be announced soon.
