On February 15th, Bated Breath Theatre Company will celebrate the 100th performance of their acclaimed immersive, environmental production UNMAKING TOULOUSE-LAUTREC, selected as one of the 11 'best immersive plays and interactive theatrical experiences on Broadway and beyond' by Time Out. Performances continue through March 6, 2020 at Madame X in Manhattan's historic Greenwich Village, where it began performances in May 2019.

Performances will now continue through February 5, 2020 on a new performances schedule at Madame X in Manhattan's historic Greenwich Village, where performances began on May 8. Audiences attending the 6:30pm performance are invited to come at 5pm for some complimentary birthday cake and wine at Madame X in Manhattan's historic Greenwich Village (where Madonna recently celebrated her birthday).

Lisa Timmel Joins Bated Breath As Managing Director
Bated Breath is excited to welcome Lisa Timmel as its new Managing Director. Ms. Timmel is an experienced independent dramaturg who specializes in new play development and production. Previously, she was the director of new work at The Huntington Theatre Company in Boston where she collaborated with an impressive slate of emerging and established playwrights. Ms. Timmel has also served as director of new play development at Playwrights Horizons, interim dramaturg and advisor to the Emerging Writers Group at the Public Theater, and artistic producer at Carole Shorenstein Hayes Productions.

New Work For The Stage: Sundance Institute And MASS MoCA Announce Theatre Lab Projects
Four projects representing diverse world voices, each with bold and independent visions of how art can elevate the human experience, comprise this year's selected projects for the two-week Sundance Institute Theatre Lab at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), convening December 3-17, 2017, with a public performance of another project slated for December 9. The Theatre Labs process is rigorous and generative. Dedicated to the creation and development of forward-thinking theater; projects are cast individually, rehearsed daily and benefit from concentrated, uninterrupted time and resources.
Huntington Announces Summer Workshop Readings 7/22 & 23
The Huntington Theatre Company's annual Summer Workshop will start rehearsals on July 11 and conclude in public readings of four new plays on July 22 and 23, 2017. The workshop allows selected members of the Huntington Playwriting Fellows program two weeks to focus on developing new plays. The workshop and public readings will take place in the South End at the Huntington's Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, 527 Tremont Street, Boston.

The festival is a vital part of the Huntington's new play development efforts and highlights the work of locally-based Huntington Playwriting Fellows and national writers in partnership with the Huntington. Over the last decade, Breaking Ground plays have gone on to appear at the Huntington as well as theatres in Boston, across the country, and internationally.

Applications Now Open for 2017-2019 Huntington Playwriting Fellows Cohort
The Huntington is now accepting applications for the 2017-2019 Huntington Playwriting Fellows Cohort. To be eligible, writers must live at least nine months of the year in the Greater Boston area. Applications can be submitted online and all accompanying materials must be submitted via email to submissions@huntingtontheatre.org no later than 11:59PM on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Early submissions are encouraged, and submissions are read roughly in the order they are received.
