Growing sick of the gay dating scene, a man volunteers to go to Mars in the comedy, 'Small Steps,' written by Davis native Briandaniel Oglesby. The play is being presented by Catalyst: A Theatre Think Tank through the UC Davis Department of Theatre and Dance in collaboration with Bike City Theatre Company.

Broadway And Television Veterans Create New Stage Works At UC Davis

The third annual Ground and Field Theatre Festival (GFTF), 'Play on the Brink,' spotlights new plays and musicals written by local, national and international playwrights and composers, including Broadway veterans Mindy Cooper and Matt Gumley. The main performances take place beginning Sept. 26 on the UC Davis campus and in community venues. All are free.

The Bay Area Theatre Company opens One Googol and One by Aidaa Peerzada on Friday December 7 (preview Dec. 6th) running through December 22 2018 at Brava Theater Center. One Googol and One is a play about historical injustices and how each of our stories from the past shape our modern identities. Set in different times and places the production takes on various mediums of dialogue through contemporary verse (spoken word), classical verse, and naturalistic dialogue.
AN OCTOROON Extends Through July at Berkeley Rep

Following an overwhelmingly positive response from critics and audiences, Berkeley Rep has announced that the West Coast premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' An Octoroon will extend for an additional week. Originally scheduled to close on July 23, the provocative play will now run through Saturday, July 29.
