BIO

American Soprano Lisa Delan has won acclaim as an interpreter of an extensive range of repertoire and is recognized for her versatility and breadth of accomplishment. She has performed on some of the world’s leading concert stages and international festivals.

Ms. Delan sang the title role in the world premiere of Gordon Getty’s Joan and the Bells, a role she has since reprised in France, Germany, Spain, the U.S., U.K., Mexico and Russia, and on the recording by the same name. Delan’s solo albums, released by Pentatone, include And If the Song Be Worth a Smile; The White Election; The Hours Begin to Sing; Out of the Shadows: Rediscovered American Art Songs; and A Certain Slant of Light.

Ms. Delan is co-creator with composer Luna Pearl Woolf of Angel Heart, A Music Storybook released on the Pentatone/Oxingale series, featuring Jeremy Irons narrating an original story by author Cornelia Funke.
