Monday night at NYC's Le Poisson Rouge, the fourth annual Broadway Bee competition scored impressive success. Broadway stars, cast mates, and supporters raised $41,898 for Broadway Bound Kids' arts education programs. Paige Davis, representing team Chicago, took home the grand prize trophy.

Now in its second year, Michael-Leon Wooley will once again be the host and creative force behind the series that showcases the best of Broadway as performed by 'triple threat' Broadway performers who are now living and working in L.A.

On July 21, 2014, Vitello's Jazz and Supperclub presents Jenelle Lynn Randall, Kevin Yee and Lisa Datz in Triple Threat, a monthly Broadway concert series, featuring some of LA's finest Broadway talent. Hosted by Michael-Leon Wooley (Little Shop of Horrors, Five Guys Named Moe, The Music Man), Jenelle Lynn Randall (All Shook Up, Brooklyn), Kevin Yee (Mamma Mia), and Lisa Datz (The Full Monty, Titanic) will prove they are "triple threats," singing songs ranging from standards to pop to contemporary, as well as a few original songs.

"For The Record: Tarantino," the new CD produced by Ad Astra Live, features a dynamic cast that breathes new life into director Quentin Tarantino's films with fresh adaptations from the music featured in the director's iconic body of work. The series highlights stars from stage, record and screen as well as new, rising performers embodying iconic movie characters and giving them new voices.
FOR THE RECORD: BOOGIE NIGHTS Extends thru Aug 11
Stimulate your senses this summer as everything is growing over at Rockwell: Table & Stage with For The Record: Boogie Nights. The space at 1714 N Vermont Ave no longer operates under three distinct names but instead the entire venue will be referred to as Rockwell: Table & Stage and includes a bi-level outdoor dining space as well as a newly remodeled live music performance space. While renovations will continue throughout the summer, "For The Record" co-creators Shane Scheel and Christopher Lloyd Bratten choose to present a show adapted from the works of multiple Academy Award-nominated Los Angeles director Paul Thomas Andersonfor a summer experience that Angelenos will not easily forget. The show has just been extended through August 11, 2012.

The show was adapted from multiple works of Academy Award-winning director Quentin Tarantino including "Reservoir Dogs," "Kill Bill," "Pulp Fiction," and "Inglourious Bastards" among others.
