Lisa Bruna is an award-winning playwright whose original works have been produced throughout the U.S., from California to New York to South Florida. Her plays have been staged in such venues as Manhattan Theatre Source, Delray Beach Playhouse, Camino Real Playhouse, Cider Mill Playhouse, and Rinker Playhouse at The Kravis Center, among others.
Lisa’s one-act play INVASION earned her a New York Innovative Theatre Award in the category of Outstanding Original Short Script (2015) and a Best Playwright designation in Manhattan Theatre Source’s 15th Annual EstroGenius Festival (2014).
Others of Lisa’s one-acts have won Audience Favorite and Best Playwright designations and placements in various playwriting festivals throughout the country, including Camino Real Playhouse’s Annual ShowOff International Playwriting Festival (San Juan Capistrano, CA) and Därkhorse Drämatist’s Annual Tales from the Script Festival produced at the Cider Mill Playhouse (Binghamton, NY).
Her full-length children's play OPERATION ODDBALL was selected from a national search as a top-three finalist in the Annual Ronald M. Ruble New Play Festival (2014). In 2016, it was published by Twisted Plays and is currently available for licensing from their JUNIOR DRAMA catalogue.
Lisa’s play REDEMPTION was published in the anthology, THE BOOK OF ESTROGENIUS 2012: A CELEBRATION OF FEMALE VOICES (PlaySource, 2012). A comedic monologue from her play MEDIUM RARE was published by Smith & Kraus and is included in their anthology, THE BEST WOMEN'S STAGE MONOLOGUES OF 2016.
