Complete Company and Creative Team Announced for Old Globe's Pam Farr Summer Shakespeare Studio
The Old Globe today announced the complete company and creative team for the Pam Farr Summer Shakespeare Studio, named for a Globe board member whose generosity supports a four-week program for rising 9th - 12th grade students and recent high school graduates to develop foundational skills for reading, interpreting, and performing Shakespeare's plays, and to cultivate their own artistic voice through storytelling and creating original material.
FLORIDA's FINEST Winners Announced: First Prize is Awarded to Sarasota Artist Jana Millstone
'Fire," a painting by Sarasota artist Jana Millstone, has taken first prize at Art Center Sarasota's "Florida's Finest," an annual exhibition of works by Florida artists. The second prize winner is Raymond Lawler for "The Band Played On." Third prize went to Nathan Beard for 'Exit Music #58 (The Effects of Passing through One Another"). Merit awards were given to Lynn Foskett for 'Stacked' and Mike Hanlon for ' Michael Gruber."

Inspired by writer Sears's real-life experiences, the piece was developed in collaboration with a team of local artists: four San Diego actors, puppetry by Animal Cracker Conspiracy (Iain Gunn and Bridget Rountree), music by Clinton Davis, and direction by Sears's wife, Lisa Berger.
