Linden Waddell is an actress and singer and more recently, a writer and producer. The fourth-generation Californian has performed in over 50 musicals and operas throughout the Golden State.
Los Angeles audiences have seen her as Jellylorum/ Griddlebone (the comedic opera cat) in CATS at the Shubert Theatre, as Kate in The Pirates of Penzance at the Ahmanson Theatre, and as several characters including the Poetess in A...My Name is Alice at the Center Theatre in Long Beach (earning the Robby Award Nomination).
As a member of The Colony Theatre for 13 years, Linden made her debut there in Working, earning a Theatre LA Ovation Award Nomination as Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Concurrently she appeared in The Colony's Passions: A Latenight Cabaret directed by Nick DeGruccio. Then Linden produced and performed in the Colony Second Stage production Desire!, and produced the Second Stage production of The Mousetrap, before taking a year-long hiatus to produce a baby boy. She returned to The Colony in Neil Simon's I Ought To Be In Pictures, then portrayed Mrs. Molloy in The Matchmaker, winning a Drama-Logue Award for her performance.
Other leading roles include Annie in Amanda McBroom’s Heartbeats, Fanny Stevenson in the world premiere of RLS: Recollections, The Severed Head and Head Diva in Six Women with Brain Death... (winning the Zony Award in Phoenix, AZ), and leads in Little Mary Sunshine, Fiddler on the Roof, Carousel, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Candide.
