Vital Theatre Company has announced the return of past Vital favorite A (Tooth) Fairy Tale, opening March 16, 2013 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre at 2162 Broadway at W 76th St. The show features book by author Ben Winters (Uncle Pirate [musical]; The Last Policeman; Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters [novels]), music and lyrics by Rick Hip-Flores (My New York), and direction by Linda Ames Key. Vital Theatre Company Nominated for Chase Community Giving Award

Vital Theatre Company has announced that it has been nominated for a Chase Community Giving grant. Vital Theatre Company joins other charities nationwide in competing for grants ranging from $10,000 to $250,000. As of now, Vital Theatre Company fans will be able to cast their votes for the Chase Community Giving program through their Facebook and Chase accounts.

Vital Theatre Company, winner of the 2012 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Family Show, has announced its 2012-2013 Family Programming season in its home theatre at 76th Street and Broadway. Featuring four musicals for children and families, this year's Vital season includes two world premieres and two returning favorites. In Fancy Nancy The Musical and Show Way, two popular children's books are newly adapted for the stage. Vital favorites Angelina Ballerina™ The Very Merry Holiday Musical and A (Tooth) Fairy Tale return to round out the season. This lineup continues Vital's mission to produce entertaining and educational live theatre for families and young audiences.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, presented the 2nd annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards Reception yesterday, June 19th at Sardi's. The awards honor outstanding achievement in Off Broadway theater for the 2011-2012 season. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Howard Kissel and Theodore Mann were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

The ribbon cutting will be followed by a proclamation for the inaugural production, "Footloose" and a performance of the show at 10:00 am. The South Shore Educational Complex is located at 6565 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn and is the largest high school auditorium in New York City.

Vital Theatre Company will bring back THE BULLY, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, book by David L. Williams, and directed by Linda Ames Key. The show will run Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm beginning January 14th through February 26th, 2012, with weekday school holiday performances on January 16th and 27th and February 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd at 11am and 1pm. The show is appropriate for ages 4 -12. School/Group performances are available at Vital Theatre or your location
