The Dancing on the Edge Festival of Contemporary Dance Returns for its 35th Year
One of the most eagerly anticipated events in British Columbia's contemporary dance scene, the 35th anniversary of the Dancing on the Edge Festival will kick off on July 6th. Festival Producer, Donna Spencer, is delighted that Canada's oldest and longest running contemporary dance festival, will host live performances both indoor and outdoor for eagerly awaiting audiences.
DanceWorks Is Back On Stage With MORPHS At Fleck Dance Theatre
Interweaving both dance and music, DanceWorks presents Morphs, a mesmerizing work by Fila 13 Productions, led by multi-award winning choreographer Lina Cruz, and featuring five extraordinary Canadian dancers and a musical performer. Morphs will be presented live on stage March 30, and April 1, 2022 at 8pm at Fleck Dance Theatre.

Made In Canada Festival Unveils 2019 Line-Up
dance: made in canada / fait au canada Festival (d:mic/fac) proudly unveils a diverse program featuring the country's most sought-after dancers and choreographers for its milestone fifth biennial edition on stage from August 14-18, 2019, at the Betty Oliphant Theatre. Living legend and 2019 Dance Hall of Fame inductee Louise Lecavalier will open this year's festival with a special artist talk and screening of the recent documentary Louise Lecavalier - In Motion. Additionally, 13 artists and companies will be presented across three Mainstage programs - curated by Matjash Mrozewski, Lina Cruz, and Festival Director Yvonne Ng - coupled with a lottery-based platform titled 'What You See Is What you Get' (WYSIWYG). An ancillary Arts Encounters program explores the photography, media arts, and other creative expressions created by five dance artists.
