Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota will present 26 concerts during its 28th season, Stars Ascending. The season – sponsored by Ernie Kretzmer – runs from October 1, 2023 through May 14, 2024 and offers a diverse range of intimate musical experiences featuring emerging and established classical, jazz, pops, and chamber artists presented at eight venues throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota enters its 24th season of bringing unique and diverse musical experiences to the region with a dynamic and international array of both established and emerging classical, jazz and pops artists. The season, which runs October 2019 through June 2020, features 28 performances at venues in Sarasota and Venice. The programs cover Artist Series Concerts' trademark range of diverse musical offerings, including classical recitals, pops, jazz and world music, chamber soirees, and luncheon and dinner concerts.

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota recently announced the winners of the 2017 National Piano Competition. The competition rotates each year between, piano, voice and string instruments and is open to talented young musicians who are residents of the United States. The finals were held April 29 at the Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center in Sarasota. A total of $21,600 was awarded to eight contestants. Scroll down for photos!
Redmoon and City of Chicago to Partner for Inaugural Great Chicago Fire Festival, Oct 2014
Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced last week a plan to partner with Redmoon, the large-scale spectacle and public art group, to create a new festival that will culminate in a procession of illuminated floating fiberglass sculptures as well as a fire spectacle on the main branch of the Chicago River. The inaugural Great Chicago Fire Festival, presented by Redmoon in partnership with the City of Chicago, will take place in October 2014.
