New England Conservatory Announces Spring Programming
New England Conservatory has announced their spring 2022 Season. Highlights include NEC Wind Ensemble and Choirs offer a 50th anniversary celebration of the Wind Ensemble by presenting Igor Stravinsky's 'Symphony of Psalms,' and the world premiere commission of Chris Brubeck's first wind ensemble piece, 'Fifty'.
Susanna Malkki to Make NY Philharmonic Debut with Jonathan Biss, 5/21-23
Susanna Mälkki will make her New York Philharmonic debut conducting Brahms's Variations on a Theme by Haydn; Harvey's Tranquil Abiding; and Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Jonathan Biss as soloist. The concerts take place Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m.; and Saturday, May 23 at 8:00 p.m.
Andris Nelsons Makes Carnegie Hall Debut as BSO Music Director This Week
BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons will lead the Boston Symphony Orchestra in three programs at Carnegie Hall, this week, April 15-17. For his first Carnegie Hall concert as BSO Music Director today, April 15, Mr. Nelsons will open the program with the New York premiere of Gunther Schuller's Dreamscape, a BSO commission, inspired by a dream the composer had and featuring Schuller's characteristically kaleidoscopic mastery of the orchestra (Click here for the program note for Gunther Schuller's Dreamscape). The Schuller work will be followed by Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat, K. 595, with soloist Richard Goode, an acclaimed Mozart specialist, and Richard Strauss's Ein Heldenleben.

The Celebrity Series of Boston Announces 2014-2015 Season
The Celebrity Series of Boston announced its 2014-2015 season today, marking 76 years of bringing the world's greatest performing artists to Boston. The season opens on Sunday, October 5, 2014 with Italian pianist Maurizio Pollini in recital. In total, the 2014-2015 season will include 46 music, dance and entertainment engagements. The 2014-15 season is sponsored by Amy and Joshua Boger.

2009 Writers Guild Awards Nominations Announced
The Writers Guild of America, West and the Writers Guild of America, East today announced nominations for outstanding achievement in television, radio, news, promotional writing, and graphic animation during the 2008 season to be honored at the upcoming 2009 Writers Guild Awards on February 7, 2009, in Los Angeles and New York.
