The Broad Stage presents Billy Childs and his Jazz Chamber Ensemble on Sunday, November 11 at 7:30pm. One of the foremost American composers of his era, pianist Billy Childs embodies a unique blend of jazz and classical music. The multi-GRAMMY Award winner's groundbreaking project merges improvisation and jazz rhythms with the orchestration and instrumentation of a traditional chamber ensemble.
Kimmel Center Announces Commissioning Of Three New Jazz Residents For 2017- 18 Season

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts announces its new Jazz Residency artists for the 2017-18 season: Luke O'Reilly, Colton Weatherston, and Doug Hirlinger. This year, the artists, alongside an array of collaborators, will each produce new work that speaks to an aspect of Philadelphia's history or culture, from the Black Lives Matter movement, to Germantown Avenue, to inequality and gentrification in the city.

With the success of four previous Festivals (1999, 2002, 2005, 2008), the 2011 World Festival of Sacred Music (WFSM) has established itself as one of the premiere arts festivals of Los Angeles. For 16 days and nights from today through 16, 2011, WFSM fills L.A.'s historic theaters, churches, temples and public spaces with 32 performances featuring local and international artists with disciplines ranging from sacred traditional music to contemporary dance.
