International dance sensation Les Twins from France joins the Breakin' Convention Festival line-up this year and performs with original crew members Ruben 'Rubix' Noel and Laura Nala from Criminalz. The duo has toured the world with megastars Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg. Since first performing at Breakin' Convention in 2015, Les Twins have won the million-dollar prize on NBC's World of Dance.

The second and final wave of TEEN CHOICE TM 2018 nominees have been announced and music artists Cardi B and Selena Gomez lead with four nominations each. In film, "The Greatest Showman," "Black Panther" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" each received four nods. "Riverdale" leads in television with seven nominations, while "Stranger Things" follows with five and "The Bold Type" with four.

On Thursday, May 24 (7:30 pm) Japan Society presents an evening with two New York-based master instrumentalists: koto player Yumi Kurosawa and shamisen player Yoko Reikano Kimura, who are revitalizing their instruments through novel repertoire, musical approaches, and playing techniques. The eclectic program will span traditional, classical, and contemporary works, including duets of koto + shamisen, shamisen + cello (Hikaru Tamaki) and koto + tabla (Anubrata Chatterjee). The recital will take place in Japan Society's serene and intimate Murase Room, with a cash bar at 7 pm. Tickets are $25, $20 for Japan Society members, available at japansociety.org/performingarts.
