Houston Grand Opera Joins Forces with Houston Ebony Opera Guild, Prairie View A&M, And More For the Fourth Annual GIVING VOICE
On Friday, February 24, 2023, Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will stage the fourth annual Giving Voice concert in partnership with Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, the Houston Ebony Opera Guild, Prairie View A&M University, and Texas Southern University. The fourth annual concert will be presented outside the Wortham Theater Center for the first time, at the new Cathedral of the historic Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in the Third Ward, in celebration of Black History Month.

Main Street Theater's Autumn Follies Gala will return on Friday, October 8 at Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd. This year's celebrity-studded, one-night-only benefit performance will be the original musical send-up Fiddler on the Loop, with cameo appearances by celebrities including Mayor Annise Parker, KHOU's Len Cannon, Judge Jan Krocker, 184th District Court, Ernie Manouse, Host of PBS' InnerVIEWS with Ernie Manouse, Sarah Gish of Gish Creative, HoustonPBS' Doug Mueller, and Houston Chronicle Blog Theater Critic Buzz Bellmont.

Professional actors Christianne Mays and Doris Davis anchored the production.
