Video: LEGO Teases New Sets Inspired by the WICKED Movie
In October, LEGO Group will introduce four sets inspired by the first film that will allow fans to delve deeper into some of the most iconic scenes straight out of Oz and explore core themes, characters, and songs from the upcoming film. On the official LEGO X/Twitter page, the fan-favorite building block toy company teased the new line of products. In the 15-second video, pink, white, and green LEGO pieces spill out the words 'Pink clicks good with green,' with background music playing the song Popular, sung by Glinda in the musical. Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company Presents Annual Lunar New Year Performance At NJPAC!
Fort Lee, N.J. based Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will begin its annual celebration of the Lunar New Year. It is the year of the rabbit and this year's presentation is the Black Water Rabbit with the world premiere of Lion in The City featuring hip-hop break-dancing legends Kwikstep and Rokafella. Kwikstep, founder of the Full Circle Breaking Crew and a mentor to some of the best break dancers in the U.S. and Rokafella, one of the most iconic b-girls in hip-hop history will take to the stage with Nai Ni Chen on Saturday, January 21 and Sunday January 22 at 2pm.
Canton Museum of Art Announces WITNESS TO WARTIME Exhibition Speaker Series
The Canton Museum of Art announces a free Speaker Series in conjunction with its Spring Exhibition, Witness to Wartime: The Painted Diary of Takuichii Fujii starting Sunday, May 1st, 2022. This three-part Speaker Series will offer three opportunities for guests to learn more about Japanese internment camps during World War II and the experiences of Asian Americans during that period of history. Speakers include Karen Jiobu, Jamie Ford, Sandy Kita and Barbara Johns.
MULA SA BUWAN Will Return This Year
Directed by Pat Valera, Mula sa Buwan is a musical adaptation of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac and Soc Rodrigo’s Filipino adaptation, with songs such as Ikaw, Matatapos Din, and Ang Sabi Nila. The show is written by Valera (concept, book, and lyrics) and William Manzano (music and lyrics).
