Opera San José's 40th anniversary season continues with a thrilling production of Verdi's Rigoletto. Boasting some of opera's most memorable music, including the signature aria “La donna è mobile,” this gripping work follows the jester Rigoletto, his innocent daughter Gilda, and the corrupt Duke of Mantua whose callous treatment of women launches a storm of vengeance, murder, and tragic self-sacrifice.

Composer Lisa Bielawa Curates Residency at The Stone
Composer, vocalist, and producer Lisa Bielawa returns to The Stone at The ew School from Wednesday, November 2, 2022 to Saturday, November 5, 2022, for her third curated residency, a performance initiative founded by John Zorn,with concerts held each night at 8:30pm.
Lisa Bielawa to Release BLUEPRINTS I, Featuring Ten World Premiere Recordings
On August 14, composer, vocalist, and producer Lisa Bielawa releases Blueprints I, a digital-only album featuring ten world premiere recordings of Bielawa's compositions. Her five-concert residency at The Stone (a performance initiative founded by John Zorn) in NYC was to take place the very week in March 2020 that the city went into lockdown.

Unleash your inner-child as Pacific Symphony offers another unique concert experience, with a double-bill of both Prokofiev's symphonic fairy tale "Peter & The Wolf" and Ravel's one-act opera "L'enfant et les sortileges." No stranger to producing elaborate and magical stagings, Robert Neu is once again the stage director, returning after his fantastic work on "The Magic Flute." (He will return next season to direct Verdi's "Otello"!) Longtime artistic partner Pacific Chorale, led by Artistic Director Robert Istad, will join the Symphony on stage again, as well as the CSUF Singers and Southern California Children's Chorus. Returning mezzo-soprano Tess Altiveros plays the lead role, "The Child," in Ravel's "L'enfant."
SFEMS Presents Cappella SF In Concerts Of Josquin, Allegri, Couperin & Schutz
The San Francisco Early Music Society's 2018-19 concert season continues next month with the Bay Area's own Cappella SF. Directed by Ragnar Bohlin, Cappella SF has taken the choral world by storm in just four years, acclaimed both at home and abroad. In their debut program for SFEMS, Neither From Heaven Nor From Earth, Cappella SF will perform works spanning a period from Josquin through Allegri, Schutz and Couperin.

Coscia has re-recorded the song with Leandra Ramm in hopes of bringing this heart warming new holiday classic to audiences across the globe.

Starring in a new Lifetime series 'My Life is a Lifetime Movie' and with her new book 'Stalking a Diva' due out this fall, Leandra Ramm tells her amazing life story in an unforgettable one night engagement. The show focuses on the chilling cyber stalking experience that left her feeling imprisoned and helpless without protection from the U.S. legal system. Despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Leandra's perserverance and determination led her to eventually win her legal case. Begining with her unique origins from ' The Genius Sperm Bank', followed by her world traveling adventures, Leandra's life has been nothing short of exciting. One Night With You was written by Dagmar Spain and will be directed by Andrew Lonsdale.

The world's largest solo theatre festival, established in 2010 at Theatre ROW on 42nd Street in Manhattan, has grown to more than twice its original size. One hundred solo productions will be presented between today, October 11 and November 18, 2012, among them fifteen shows by artists who successfully performed at the United Solo Festival in the past.
