International Voice Competition Comes to Ithaca
Opera Ithaca presents the Edward M. Murray Competition of Voice Finals Sunday March 19, 2017 from 2pm thru 7pm at the Community School of Music and Arts. The first annual competition attracted seventy-five highly accomplished professional singers from all over the world, as far reaching as Russia, South Korea and Europe as well as all over the United States.

Pittsburgh Opera Announces Shows In 2016-2017
Pittsburgh Opera announces its 2016-2017 season. The season includes the very first world premiere in our 78 year history and two Pennsylvania premieres. The season will encompass four operas produced at the Benedum Center and two Resident Artist operas - the annual production at Pittsburgh CAPA Theater and the Second Stage Project at Pittsburgh Opera Headquarters.
DCINY to Present 'Requiem a deux' at Carnegie Hall, 6/7
Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) presents Requiem à deux, a pairing of two exquisite French choral masterworks: the Requiems by composers Gabriel Fauré, conducted by Craig Jessop, and by Maurice Duruflé, conducted by DCINY Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Jonathan Griffith. The Distinguished Concerts Orchestra and Distinguished Concerts Singers – comprised of ensembles from the US, Canada, Mexico, France and Spain – are joined by soloists Erica Miller, soprano, Leah de Gruyl, mezzo-soprano, and baritone Stephen Lancaster. In addition, the concert on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 pm at Carnegie Hall features the New York premiere of Homage – A Folk Concerto for Flute and Orchestra by composer Dinos Constantinides and featuring flutist Iris Derke.
University of Cincinnati - CCM American Voices Concert Series to Present John Adams' EL NINO, 3/2
The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's (CCM) Philharmonia Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Chorale and Cincinnati Children's Choir proudly present a stirring rendition of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Adams' El Ni'o at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, in UC's Corbett Auditorium. CCM welcomes guest artists Michael Maniaci, Eric Jurenas and Steven Rickards for this performance. Director of Choral Studies Earl Rivers conducts.
