SAN FRANCISCO, July 24,2013 - Originally built in 1928, Kimpton's Sir Francis Drake unveils the completion of its multi-million dollar renovation during its 85 th anniversary. The iconic boutique hotel sits 21 stories high in the heart of the city, mere steps from Union Square. The completed renovation features a sophisticated and opulent modern design that perfectly complements the historic spirit and original Gothic Revival and Regency architecture of the hotel. All popular public spaces, including the famed Starlight Room; 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space; and 416 guest rooms and suites have been completely redesigned by Dawson Design Associates.
