ALT-HAMLET Satire Inspired By Shakespeare Classic Premieres In September
Silver Glass Productions will present the World Premiere of alt-Hamlet, a carnivalesque/grotesque new black comedy with characters and situations loosely inspired by Shakespeare's classic drama, written and directed by Suzanne Willett. Performances begin September 7 at Off-Broadway's Players Theatre.

Special Reception Announced For SevenDays Kindness Art Exhibit At Plaza Library
Original artwork by high school students in the metro area will be on display as part of the first SevenDays Kindness Art Show, opening Tuesday, Feb. 19 and hosted by the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library. The various pieces of student art were originally submitted for the SevenDays button design competition. The exhibit will be on display at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri through Feb. 28 during regular library hours. A special recognition program will take place on Tuesday evening, Feb. 26, from 6:30-8 p.m.; the public is invited to attend the program.

Dixon Place Presents: Exquisite Corpse Company's Corpse Revival Performance Series
Exquisite Corpse Company (ECC) rings in the new year with Corpse Revival Performance Series: Like Clockwork, featuring workshop performances of six new plays developed in their Summer 2016 Writer's Lab. The plays will be presented at Dixon Place's main stage, January 24-26th at 7:30 and 9:30 PM. Each play will receive one performance.
PORT CITIES NY to Begin in May at Pier 11 Ferry
The Port/Cities Project will present the World Premiere of PORT CITIES NY, written, directed and choreographed by Talya Chalef. This theatrical journey begins at Pier 11 in the Financial District, where audiences ferry across the harbor accompanied by an original soundscape. After docking in Red Hook's working port, the performance continues on board The Waterfront Museum Barge. This limited engagement runs May 5 - 19.
