I love going to see a Trent Reese production, because he always puts a refreshing spin on whatever the subject matter may be. For our viewing pleasure this time, The Lantern Theatre and the Maumelle Players teamed up to present THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST by Oscar Wilde the last two weekends in April at The Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church in Maumelle.

Are you ready for Christmas? Well the Rialto Community Arts Center in Morrilton has the show that will jump start your holiday season into high gear with North Pole's Got Talent. Written by Lavinia Roberts, this holiday spin off brings the inhabitants of the North Pole to compete for a 'super secret surprise,' including the elves, reindeer, Jack Frost and the Snow Queen. Director Casey Myers has brought together a true community cast for this production ranging from age one to folks in their golden years. This blend includes children, teachers, a doctor, and many others all sharing the Rialto stage bringing holiday cheer to the attendees of the show.

The Final Frontier Festival has presented more queer robots, feminist gods, and outspoken horror movie monsters in the past three years than previously were thought to even exist. This year, don't be fooled by the Fairy Tale theme: these are not the stories you fell asleep listening to as a kid. We've got polyamorous wolves, lesbian led fantastical countries, and a talking penguin named Algernon--and that's just to get you warmed up. But then a new company comes along just starting out and they remind us. The New Alchemists may be brand new and small but they know how to tell a good little story with their first production, "Eaten Voices".
